Sweet Nothings

I am creating this new blog to raise awareness about the impact of high fructose corn syrup on human health.  Being of Native American  Cherokee descent, I am sensitive to sugar and have known for years that high fructose corn syrup is a poison.  Now scientists have validated it!  Dr. Robert Lustig, Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, in the Division of Endocrinology, Director of the Weight Assessment for Teen & Child Health (WATCH) Program at UCSF http://chc.ucsf.edu/coast/faculty_lustig.htm just published his team's results in one of the most prestigious journals, Nature, http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v482/n7383/full/482027a.html and reports that high fructose corn syrup is toxic and acts like alcohol in the body.  Further, it bypasses the natural hormonal system that tells us when we've been fed.  So, if you eat a high calorie, high fructose corn syrup-containing "food", then in a few hours, your body signals you to eat more because it is starving!
